Part 4: Throwing Shapes
1: Boxes are easily created using the methods we've discussed but
are by no means what we are restricted to. The easiest way to draw a
box is to create the upper face then duplicate the layer in
photoshop by choosing DUPLICATE LAYERS in the Layers palette, move
the new layer downwards then join up the edges using vertical
lines.
2: Above are examples of triangles, notice 1 uses the 1up 2
across method in it's entirety while the other uses both this and
lines of single pixels which give less steep a slope to the
triangles sides.
3. Circles are probably the trickiest shape to tackle from and
ISO viewpoint, a front on ball shape is easily created using the
Marquee tool but an upright tube shape is a lot harder, however with
a little patience and a keen eye these can also be created using the
Marquee tool.
4.Here are a few other basic shapes that can be easily created
using an Isometric viewpoint, you are only restricted by your
imagination.
