Pixel scenes and pixelart background animations

Spooky silhouette (restricted to 3 colors) for @Pixel_Dailies. Interesting, I found myself very happy working on this monster silhouette. There should be a psychologic explanation.

Started this several weeks ago as an entry to Goblins vs Gnomes challenge. I wasn't attentive enough to read the rules carefully and notice there should be at least one Goblin or Gnome :) On the other hand I could ignore the deadline and use some extra time.

That's something I started just not to get rusty. I planned to make a huge wooden tower but felt like it's enough to go up on 2nd layer :) The orb and other parts were rather random, not something I was planning to do. I was just trying and experimenting and kept what seemed to be fitting. I mention it just because that is not something I normally do.

Pixel scene for China(me)ra challenge. 12 colors limit, 2nd place in the challenge.

Inspired by Richard Doble's creature design. It took me 2 days off and on, 12 colors.

Scene out of doodle. Being inspired by this interesting work in progress I decided to try getting something out of senseless doodling. As I recognized some kind of dragon I started adding volume and shape. The water was added just because I had no idea how to link his feet and body :) Then I was thinking of a good background, found this awesome pixelart and decided to try this style. Still felt like it's unfinished and added that weird sky and planet.

Underwater cityscape background for Dive In challenge. 16 colors, no reference. It took the 2nd place in the challenge.

My winning entry for Natalie's Drawing challenge. The idea of the challenge was to interpret and pixel Natalie's art (a random kid drawing found via Google).

Based on the stock photo. 29 colors. Failed to animate, probably will update it one day.
